Mobile evolution in last 7-8 years is very much. I remember Nokia’s popular 3310 model, had gain a huge popularity. However, today making a call on phone is last feature. Mobiles are not only connected with telecom companies, they are roaming Internet gadget (iPhone, windows mobile), mp3 player (iPhone, sony ericsson, nokia) and digicam (sony ericsson, samsung) too!

Mobile operating systems have big market now a day. With Symbian OS, Windows Mobiles, Mobile Linux and BlackBerry’s proprietary multi-tasking operating system started gaining popularity. Looking out in huge potential in this market, Google is on the way with its mobile phone platform ‘Android’.

Open Handset Alliance (OHA) is the new business alliance initiated by Google, HTC, Intel, Motorola, Qualcomm, T-Mobile, and NVIDIA on 5th November 2007, with a goal to make open standards for mobile devices. It offers SDK of Android for developers to start playing with. Soon, Google is going to announce Android Developer Challenge to make it popular among Developer.
